We are seeking a passionate, analytical, politically savvy and seasoned leader to permanently succeed our Interim Executive Director. The executive director will be accountable to an 8-12 member Board of Directors composed of allies and community members and is responsible for oversight of all operations to carry out our mission and goals. 
The executive director will provide essential leadership to guide organizational and programmatic shifts and help ensure stability during this transition period, especially as we sharpen the organization’s focus on more locally based work. 

The successful candidate will be passionate about social justice work. S/he will be a big picture strategic thinker grounded in local politics and committed to playing a prominent role in cutting edge local organizing and advocacy, while also maintaining regional and national alliances in order to increase the scope and scale of impact.

We are looking for a senior organizer and strategist to work full time with our teams in base-building, leadership development, and grassroots-led campaigns at the local and state levels. The ideal candidate will be experienced in supervising campaigns that leverage multi-cultural community involvement and impact at the local level but alsowill have a strong vision and capacity to build the statewide power of low-income and immigrant families. Extensive experience in field organizing, strategic policy campaigns, planning, monitoring and staff evaluation. The candidate will be committed to furthering FLIC’s and MWC’s objectives and mission.
