Tenant Power
Worker Power
Miami Workers Center taught me how to advocate for myself and organize with other domestic workers for what we deserve: good pay, sick days, and respect. The work that we do is valuable – put some respect on our name!
At the Miami Workers Center, I found my voice. My former employer stole my wages, tried to intimidate me, and make me out to be a liar. In the end, I won the case with the support of Miami Workers Center. With or without papers, workers have the right to recover their wages. And now I know the value of my work and it cannot be taken from me.
