In the face of uncertainty, we are fighting for the future we deserve. Dream big with us this October.

Last year, as we celebrated the 25th anniversary of Miami Workers Center and Power U, our organizations put forth a vision for the future of Miami’s growing movement for social and economic justice.

Without a bold vision of a future worth fighting for, we risk succumbing to despair in the face of increased economic uncertainty, state-sanctioned violence, and political repression.

Miami’s current political leaders have failed to support the hard-working families who call this city home, as demonstrated by the recent City of Miami commission’s recent vote to collaborate with ICE. They have no plan for mitigating climate catastrophes, bringing down the cost of living, educating our children, or expanding democracy. The challenge of this moment is to build for the long-term, as we fight back against immediate attacks on our communities.

As the South faces increasingly regressive policies, we gather to honor our legacy and fuel the fight ahead. We know tomorrow looks like us—a future built by our people, our leadership, and our collective power.

We humbly invite you to dream big with MWC and Power U this October 4th at our fundraiser,

Tomorrow Looks Like Us: Shaping the Miami We Deserve

We can’t do this alone – here is how you can support our fundraiser and bring this vision to life.

Silent auction offerings? We’re looking for products or services to include in the evening’s silent auction. Got a lead? Let us know!

Proceeds from the evening will support the work we are up to today, and our joint campaign to build the Center for People Power—a permanent headquarters for grassroots organizing in Miami, rooted in care, collaboration, and community strength.

The Center for People Power is how we fortify our movement’s roots in Miami – where people across zipcodes and organizations can gather, develop leadership, coordinate strategy, and innovate community-driven solutions in Miami. Our fundraiser is an invitation to set the foundation for the  next generation of movement work in South Florida.
